CHAMBER/EDF BANQUET HAPPENING THURSDAY NIGHT
Hundreds will be gathering tomorrow (Thursday) night for the annual Washington County Chamber of Commerce/Brenham Economic Development Foundation Banquet.
The banquet is held each year to honor outstanding individuals and businesses in the community.
The doors are scheduled to open at 5:30pm at the Fireman’s Training Center.
The keynote speaker will be Brenham businessman Tieman H. “Skipper” Dippel Jr., who is best known as the long-time president of Brenham National Bank.
He is also a civic leader, attorney, and an author.
The Banquet will also feature numerous awards being handed out. Individual awards include the Man of the Year, the Woman of the Year, the Blue Blazer of the Year, and the Chamber Board Member of the Year.
In addition to that, they are going to present awards for Business of the Year (25 or more employees), Small Business of the Year (24 or fewer employees), New Business of the Year, and Non-Profit of the Year.
KWHI will be broadcasting live from the Chamber/EDF Banquet starting around 6:45pm on 1280AM, 101.7FM, and KWHI.com.
