TWO JUVENILES APPREHENDED AFTER PURSUIT

  

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office apprehended two juveniles after a late-night pursuit Wednesday.

Just before midnight, Deputy Carson Holton observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Highway 36 South.

Deputy Holton pursued the vehicle until it stopped in the area of the 300 block of New Wehdem Road.  According to the sheriff’s office, both occupants exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot.

The driver was taken into custody, and the passenger was apprehended at a nearby residence.

Both occupants were determined to be juveniles.  They were cited for Evading Arrest or Detention and then released to a parent.
