WASHINGTON CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE MAKES ARRESTS FOR ASSAULT WARRANTS, FAILURE TO ID
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reports arrests early this week for a man with assault warrants and a woman for giving fake information.
Approaching 2 p.m. Monday, Deputy Matthew Presswood was dispatched to the adult probation office for a warrant service. 23-year-old Damarcus Dangelo Harrison of Burton was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail for booking. He was charged with two counts of Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member, Assault Family Violence, and Possession of Marijuana 2-4oz.
Around 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, Corporal Rosa Salinas initiated a traffic stop in the 3100 block of Highway 105 for a speeding violation. Following a probable cause search of the vehicle, the driver was taken into custody. According to the sheriff’s office, during the booking process at the Washington County Jail, the driver provided false information as to her identity. 28-year-old Sidney Raeshawn Colvin of Brenham was charged with Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz. and Failure to Identify as a Fugitive with Intent to Give False Information. Colvin also had four active local warrants, including for Unrestrained Child (8-16) Not Secured by a Safety Belt, Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility, and two counts of Driving While License Invalid.
