The Brenham Cub Basketball Team is going on the road this (Friday) evening for a game against Bryan Rudder.

Brenham remains atop the district standings. Going into tonight (Friday), the Cubs can clinch at least a share of the district championship with a win.

Brenham is two games ahead of Huntsville with three to play. Due to the odd number of teams in the district, Huntsville has a bye this (Friday) evening. Brenham's bye does not come until the final night of district play on February 11.

The Cubs are currently 22-8 overall and 8-1 in district play. The opening tipoff for tonight's (Friday's) game against Rudder is scheduled for 6:30pm.

Elsewhere in District 17-5A:  Montgomery is at A&M Consolidated and College Station visits Lake Creek.
