HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER: CUBS WIN AT HOME WHILE CUBETTES FALL ON THE ROAD
The Brenham Cub Soccer Team picked up their first district win of the season with a 1-0 victory over Huntsville last (Friday) night at Cub Stadium.
With about nine minutes to go in the game, Isaac Garcia scored a goal off of an assist from Chris Calix. Goalkeeper Lane Janner had the shutout.
Next up, the Cubs travel to A&M Consolidated on Tuesday night for a 7pm game.
Around District 17-5A: College Station beat A&M Consolidated 2-1, and Lake Creek defeated Bryan Rudder 5-4, while Montgomery had a bye.
The Brenham Cubettes lost their match against Huntsville last night 6-2.
Denali Washington scored both goals for Brenham. Katelynn Lawhorn and Kianna McDonald had the assists.
The Cubettes return home to host A&M Consolidated on Tuesday at 7pm at Cub Stadium.
Speaking of A&M Consolidated, they shutout College Station 8-0 last night.
