ROUND TOP-CARMINE EARNS BI-DISTRICT WIN OVER RUNGE
(Round Top-Carmine ISD)
The Round Top-Carmine Cubette Basketball Team dominated Runge 64-25 to claim the Bi-District Championship.
RT-C jumped out to an early 15-4 lead in the first quarter and never had to look back. The Cubettes outscored the Yellowjackets 15-7 in the second quarter to take a 30-11 lead at half time.
RT-C also won the third quarter 16-8 and the fourth quarter 15-6.
Tess Eilers had a huge game for the Cubettes with 29 points. Meanwhile, Jill Eilers added 19 points and Madison Markwardt finished with 12 points.
Next up, for RT-C, they will face Nueces Canyon on Thursday at 4pm in the SAC Gym at Seguin High School.
