BRENHAM MAN CHARGED WITH DRUG POSSESSION, DWI
A Brenham man faces drug and alcohol charges after his arrest early Thursday morning.
Around 12:15 a.m., Brenham Police Officer Garrett Downs conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of North Park Street for a defective headlight.
Officer Downs built reasonable suspicion to believe that the driver, 37-year-old Dillon Foerster, was under the influence of alcohol.
Standardized field sobriety tests were administered, and police reported that Foerster failed, so he was placed under arrest. Police also say they located methamphetamine on Foerster’s person after a search.
Foerster was transported to the Washington County Jail, where he reportedly refused a blood draw. Police say a blood warrant was granted by Judge Carson Campbell, and he was booked in for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 1-4 grams, and DWI 2nd.
