MINOR ACCIDENT ONE OF THREE CALLS THURSDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.
The Brenham Fire Department was called out three times on Thursday.
At 1:15 p.m., units went out to a possible structure fire at a home in the 600 block of East Stone Street. They made location to find a single-story structure with nothing showing. They checked the structure for smoke and found none, but they did discover a tree branch that hit the electrical to the house, causing the smoke scare. The department cleared the call.
Shortly before 6 p.m., personnel were dispatched to a crash at Highway 36 North and North Park Street. Upon arrival, they found a two-vehicle accident with no injuries. Firefighters stood by until they were released from the scene by law enforcement.
Approaching 7:45 p.m., firefighters responded to a fire alarm at 807 West Second Street. They learned the alarm was reset prior to their arrival, and nothing was found after a check of the building, so they returned to service.
