BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDS TO THREE CALLS ON FRIDAY
The Brenham Fire Department responded to three calls during the day on Friday.
The first call came in just before 7am on the 2400 Block of South Chappel Hill Street. BFD members responded to a report of a child locked in an apartment.
The residents’ door accidentally locked behind them. Upon their arrival, firefighters learned that someone had already gotten the door unlocked. They cleared the call and returned to service.
Then, just after 11:30am, Brenham Firefighters were dispatched to a crash in the 1600 Block of South Market Street. BFD units found a two-vehicle accident with no injuries. They stood by until Brenham Police arrived, and then returned to the station.
The final call came in at 12:40pm. BFD members were called to investigate a fire alarm on the 2800 Block of Victory Lane.
Firefighters found that the alarm had been reset prior to their arrival. After checking the building, it was determined that the alarm was set off by burnt food in the kitchen.
