Each year, 6th grade students build and code autonomous robots to complete complex missions.  This year’s theme, Submerged, tasked students with thinking critically, working as a team, and solving real-world problems.

After competing at a qualifier event in Tomball in January and the East Texas Championship in Stafford on Saturday, all three Brenham Middle School teams punched their ticket to state.  The teams are Krill Klub, Krusty Krabbers and Roysters.

Additionally, the Krusty Krabbers finished 21st in the Robot Game at Regionals.  The Roysters won second place in Core Values and placed 37th in the Robot Game.  The Krill Klub earned third place champions and was 24th in the Robot Game.

Over 1,200 FIRST LEGO League teams are registered in Texas.  Brenham will be among the top 60 competing at the state level.  The state championship will take place on Saturday, March 1st in Haslet.
