SHERIFF’S OFFICE MAKES ARRESTS ON WARRANTS, INTOXICATION, RESISTING ARREST

  

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reported three arrests between Friday and Saturday.

Approaching 10:15 a.m. Friday, Deputy Martinez was dispatched to the 100 block of West Main Street in reference to a person on location with active warrants.  Upon arrival, the warrants were confirmed, and 18-year-old Jeremiah Hudgen of Burton was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail for booking.  Hudgen was charged with two Motion to Revoke Probation warrants for Terroristic Threat and Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member.

Close to 6:15 p.m. Saturday, Corporal Crosby and Deputy Pena responded to a disturbance in the 2600 block of Old Masonic Road.  According to the sheriff’s office, the suspect left the scene prior to deputies’ arrival, but returned while they were interviewing the victim.  The sheriff’s office stated that the suspect, identified as 30-year-old Isaac Sosa of Texas City, was intoxicated and resisted deputies when they were taking him into custody.  Sosa was transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was charged with Public Intoxication and Resisting Arrest, Search or Transport.

Just past 9 p.m., Deputy Holton responded to an accident in the 7900 block of Highway 290 East.  The driver displayed signs of intoxication and was taken into custody.  After receiving medical clearance, 30-year-old Billy Dalton Hyman of Chappell Hill was charged with Driving While Intoxicated with an Open Container and taken to the Washington County Jail for booking.
