BRENHAM STUDENTS STAND OUT AT THE TEACH TOMORROW SUMMIT
Brenham High School students had the opportunity to showcase their talent and dedication at the Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE) Teach Tomorrow Summit, held at the Moody Gardens Convention Center in Galveston last week.
With over 3,800 students in attendance from across the state, Brenham ISD was represented by 18 students competing in 14 different events at the state level.
Among the standout achievements, three students—Alaija Johnson, Alinna Ellis, and Kyan Wright—qualified to compete at the National in Orlando, Florida, this June. Notably, Johnson earned a perfect score for her innovative Math Mystery game.
Additionally, Lilian Norton and Catie Lynn Kuebler earned “Top 5” state medals in the Professional Development category, where they delivered a professional development session for Brenham ISD teachers and reflected on their experience with judges. This competition concludes at the state level, making their achievement even more significant.
Several other students also earned prestigious honors:
- The Gold Award went to Lilian Norton, Bridgett Martel, Brianna Cooper, and Rosa Jimenez
- The Silver Award went to Magali Silva and Lillie Lehrmann
- The Bronze Award went to Kaylin Bogan, Isabella Clover, Leo Hernandez, Victoria Dippel, Natalie Montes, and the Breakout Session Team
In addition to the competitions, the summit featured a Senior Signing Ceremony for students committing to careers in education.
Over 140 students from across the state signed letters of intent with universities nationwide. Brenham ISD proudly celebrates Liliana Gonzales, Magali Silva, Brianna Cooper, Kyan Wright, and Natalie Montes, who signed with Sam Houston State University to pursue their future in education.
