BURTON LADY PANTHERS DROP TWO AT FRANKLIN TOURNAMENT

It was a rough day at the ballpark for the Burton Lady Panther Softball Team as they dropped both of their games on Saturday at the Franklin Tournament.

In the first game, Burton lost to Gateway Prep 2-0. The Lady Panthers managed only three hits on offense. The hits were singles by Natalie Hodde, Lexi Broesche, and Paige Fritsch. However, the pitching of Gateway Prep held the Lady Panthers at bay with a total of 15 strikeouts.

Bailey Glaesmann took the loss in the circle going five innings, giving up four hits, two earned runs, three walks, and striking out two.

In the final game, Burton lost to Gatesville (who is a 4A school) in three innings 15-0.

The Lady Panthers only had two hits in the game, a single each from Hodde and Lexi Broesche.

Lexi Broesche took the loss in circle.

Next up, for Burton, they will travel to Somerville on Tuesday for a district game against Somerville at 6pm.
