TXDOT PROJECT TO BEGIN IN WASHINGTON COUNTY ON MONDAY
Beginning on Monday, a contractor with the Texas Department of Transportation will begin work on a rehabilitation project on FM 2780 north of Burton.
The $17.6 million project is an 8.9-mile rehabilitation that will include roadway improvements, extending bridge and culvers, installation of a flashing beacon, illumination, signing, and pavement markings and markers.
Crews will begin preparation for construction activities starting on Monday by clearing the right of way in various locations along FM 2780.
Drivers can expect lane closures and detours as work progresses throughout the project limit.
Construction is expected to be completed by the beginning of summer in 2026.
