TWO ALARMS, ONE CRASH REPORT FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT. WEDNESDAY
The Brenham Fire Department responded to three calls on Wednesday.
The first call came just before 8:15 a.m., when units went out to an alarm at the Brenham State Supported Living Center, 4001 Highway 36 South. They made location to find a resident who had pulled the alarm after a behavioral issue. The alarm was reset, and the department returned to service.
Around 12:15 p.m., another alarm was reported at Prairie Lea Hall, 911 West Fifth Street. Firefighters arrived and found light smoke in a room, but they determined the smoke was caused by a hair dryer. They ventilated the room and reset the alarm before clearing the scene.
Shortly after 6:15 p.m., BFD members received a report of a transportation incident with entrapment at Highway 290 East and Routt Road. The Chappell Hill Volunteer Fire Department made location and found no one was trapped, so they cancelled Brenham’s response.
