Dr. Marcelo Bussiki, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs; Dr. Becky McBride, Vice Chancellor for Student Services; and Dr. Michelle McGehee, Dean for Academic Affairs, shared information about Blinn’s industry-leading co-enrollment programs, which have helped contribute to the College District’s state-leading transfer rate.

Through these collaborative initiatives, students simultaneously enroll at Blinn and a partner university. These include:

Each co-enrollment partnership has proven highly beneficial for students, as hundreds have earned their bachelor’s degree through the RELLIS Academic Alliance, and more than 90% of TEAM and Engineering Academy students fully transition to Texas A&M.

At RELLIS, students can co-enroll at Blinn and one of the Texas A&M System regional universities also located at RELLIS. Students can choose from more than 25 bachelor’s degree pathways and are guaranteed acceptance to their chosen university if they meet the university admission requirements.

In the Texas A&M-Blinn TEAM Program, students selected through the Texas A&M freshman admissions process are invited to co-enroll at Blinn and Texas A&M. These students enroll in one or two academic courses at Texas A&M each semester while taking the remainder of their courses at Blinn. TEAM students benefit from enrollment at both institutions, enjoying the university experience afforded by Texas A&M (such as residence hall life, sports events, and student activities) while also enjoying the smaller classroom environments and costs of Blinn.

Modeled after the TEAM Program, the Texas A&M Engineering Academy at Blinn-Brenham provides talented students an opportunity to pursue their engineering degree while co-enrolled at Texas A&M University and the Blinn College District. Engineering Academy at Blinn-Brenham students take their math, science, and engineering courses on the Brenham Campus together while living as a community in Blinn residential housing.

Engineering Academy students take Texas A&M engineering courses from Texas A&M College of Engineering faculty on the Brenham Campus, gaining a world-class engineering education with unparalleled convenience. Students who successfully complete the program with a minimum 3.75 grade point average at Blinn and Texas A&M earn automatic admission to their first-choice engineering major at Texas A&M.

Texas A&M Engineering at Blinn students are co-enrolled in the Texas A&M University College of Engineering and Blinn College, taking their Texas A&M courses on the Texas A&M campus and their Blinn courses at the RELLIS Campus in Bryan. Students who successfully complete the program with a minimum 3.75 grade point average at Blinn and Texas A&M earn automatic admission to their first-choice engineering major. Students are invited to the Texas A&M Engineering at Blinn program through the Texas A&M University Office of Admissions.
