TWO ACCIDENTS, GAS LEAK AMONG WEEKEND CALLS FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.
The Brenham Fire Department reported one call on Saturday and three calls on Sunday.

The fire department and City of Brenham Gas Department made location to find a leak by the meter and by the fireplace gas valve inside the home. The gas department turned the gas off to the home until the homeowner could get their fireplace valve repaired.
Around 1 p.m., BFD personnel were sent out for an alarm at the Brenham State Supported Living Center, 4001 Highway 36 South. Upon arrival, they found the alarm had been reset, and no smoke or fire was found.
Just before 9:15 p.m., the department was called out for a transportation incident in the 1500 block of South Austin Street. Units found a two-vehicle accident with no fluids leaking and blocked one lane of traffic for the wrecker truck before returning to the station.
