BRENHAM POLICE CHARGE ONE WITH ASSAULTING OFFICER, ANOTHER WITH CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

  

Brenham police reported the arrests of a Copperas Cove woman on Wednesday on charges including assaulting a peace officer, and a Baytown man early this (Thursday) morning for criminal mischief.

Shortly after 6 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to the 1200 block of Bridge Street regarding a warrant service.  43-year-old Amaris Vonnae Flores of Copperas Cove was placed under arrest for a warrant out of Coryell County for Criminal Mischief $100 - $750.  Flores was also charged with two counts of Assault of a Peace Officer or Judge, Attempt to Take a Weapon from an Officer, and Resisting Arrest, Search or Transport.  Flores was transported to the Washington County Jail, where she was booked in and released to jail staff.  No further details were released.

Around 4 a.m. today, officers were dispatched to a welfare concern in the 400 block of South Hillside Drive.  Investigation revealed that 45-year-old Brandon Brown of Baytown allegedly threw a rock into the calling party’s vehicle.  Brown was transported to the Washington County Jail and booked for Criminal Mischief $100 - $750 and Theft of Property Less Than $100.
