WEEKEND BRENHAM PD REPORT INCLUDES ARRESTS FOR ASSAULT, TERRORISTIC THREAT, CRIMINAL TRESPASS

  

Brenham police reported arrests this weekend for charges of assault, terroristic threat and criminal trespass.

Around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Officer Garrett Downs and Officer Bryan Morong responded to the 300 block of East Sayles Street in reference to a welfare concern.  Dispatch advised officers that crying and screaming was heard, but the reporting party disconnected.  According to police, the suspect assaulted a family member by impeding their breath and attempted to take away the victim’s phone, preventing them from calling emergency services.  37-year-old Catarino Zamora-Esquivel of Brenham was taken into custody and charged with Assault of a Family/Household Member Impeding Breath/Circulation and Interference with an Emergency Request for Assistance.

Just before 7:30 p.m., officers responded to the 1200 block of Green Street in reference to a disturbance.  Upon arrival, both parties advised that there was no physical altercation.  Officers spoke with the reporting party, who police say had an audio recording of the suspect threatening the victim just before officers made location.  31-year-old Corey Burns of College Station was placed into custody for Terroristic Threat to a Family/Household Member.

Molly Grace McHargue
(Washington Co. Jail)

Around 8:30 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to the 700 block of Medical Parkway in reference to a subject who was discharged from treatment but was refusing to leave.  The subject was identified as 24-year-old Molly McHargue of Brenham, who police say was advised multiple times to leave the premises but refused to cooperate.  McHargue was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail, where she was booked in for Criminal Trespass.
