BRENHAM FD RESPONDS THURSDAY TO SMOKING DUMP TRUCK, THREE-VEHICLE ACCIDENT
The Brenham Fire Department responded to two calls on Thursday.
At 9:15 a.m., units went out to a report of a vehicle fire at Buccaneer Food Store, 1309 Prairie Lea Street. At the scene, they found a dump truck with no smoke or flames. The driver told firefighters that his truck was smoking and he pulled off the highway. BFD members found no fire, so they returned to service.
Shortly before 9:30 p.m., Brenham firefighters and members of the Prairie Hill Volunteer Fire Department were called to the 10000 block of FM 50 for a report of a transportation incident with entrapment. There, they discovered a three-vehicle accident with no one entrapped and helped EMS locate the patients. Brenham units cleared the call, while Prairie Hill volunteers stayed on location. The Prairie Hill Volunteer Fire Department says there were minor injuries.
