BLINN CHOIRS TO PERFORM ‘HERITAGE OF PSALMS’ MAY 6

  

The Blinn College District choirs will present “The Heritage of Psalms,” their final concert of the 2024-25 season, on Tuesday, May 6.

The free concert will be held at 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 2715 South Market St. in Brenham. Choirs will perform psalms from the Renaissance, Baroque, Classic, and spiritual/Gospel traditions, featuring the music of composers Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Claudio Monteverdi, and Adolphus Hailstork.

Blinn’s Music Department offers small classes, one-on-one attention, practical learning, and accessible faculty so that students are actively engaged in a superior learning environment. Students can pursue an Associate of Arts Degree in Music that provides a solid foundation in the creative and technical aspects of music, including music theory, history, composition, and performance.
