BRENHAM CITY COUNCIL CANVASSES MAY 3 ELECTION RESULTS

  

The Brenham City Council met this (Tuesday) morning to canvass the results from the May 3rd general and special elections.

The council declared the results official from the council election for Wards 1 and 3, At-Large Position 5 and At-Large Position 6, along with the election for 12 amendments to the city charter.

Per the summary results report in the agenda packet for today’s meeting, 3,529 ballots were cast across the City of Brenham and Brenham ISD elections, with a total of 22,473 registered voters.  The voter turnout was 15.7 percent.
