BRENHAM HERITAGE MUSEUM TO HOST TEXAS HISTORY AUTHOR BLAKE PFEFFER MAY 27

The Brenham Heritage Museum invites the public to attend the next installment of its Speaker Series.

The program will take place on Tuesday, May 27th from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Post Office museum building, 105 South Market Street.

The evening will feature noted historian and author Blake Pfeffer, presenting insights from his book, “Shouts from the Republic: A Brief History of the Republic of Texas and the Cost of Freedom”.

Pfeffer’s interest in Texas history began in his youth and has evolved into a personal library of more than 2,200 volumes, many of them rare and original 19th-century editions.  His presentation will delve into the Texians’ struggle for independence, spotlighting the people, battles, and enduring sacrifices that shaped the Republic of Texas.

A respected voice in the historical community, Pfeffer has spoken at the Texas State Historical Association, the Texas State Capitol, and before numerous civic and historical organizations throughout the state.

Prior to the presentation, a members-only reception with food and refreshments will be held at 5:30 p.m.

Admission is free for museum members and $5 for non-members.  The event is open to all who appreciate and value Texas history.

RSVPs are encouraged and can be sent to admin@brenhamheritagemuseum.org
