TWO CRASH CALLS, FIRE ALARM TUESDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.

The Brenham Fire Department responded to three calls on Tuesday.

At 10:45 a.m., firefighters went out to a fire alarm at a home in the 1700 block of Gun and Rod Road.  They determined the system had a malfunction, so they returned to service.

Shortly after 3 p.m., units were dispatched to a crash at South Austin Street and West Alamo Street.  They checked the vehicles and provided traffic control before clearing the scene.

Another crash was called in a few minutes before 4 p.m. at Highway 36 North and Blue Bell Road.  After providing traffic control and checking on the vehicles, BFD personnel returned to the station.
