CITY OF NAVASOTA PREPPING FOR FREEDOM FESTIVAL

  

The City of Navasota will celebrate Independence Day at its 6th Annual Freedom Festival.

Festivities on the Fourth of July will take place in downtown Navasota and include a parade, live music, fireworks and family-friendly fun.

The parade gets underway at 6 p.m. on Brosig Avenue and will travel west on Washington Avenue to 9th Street.  Participants can begin lining up at 5 p.m.

Participation in the parade is free, and registration can be done online at https://navasotatx.gov/freedomfest.

After the parade, the Texas Eagles Tribute Band will perform outside of Navasota City Hall at 7 p.m.  Vendors will be on-site selling food and drinks.  The kids will be able to enjoy face painting, water slides, inflatables and other activities.

A fireworks display will round out the event at 9:15 p.m. at Brule Field.  The fireworks can seen throughout town and in downtown.

Entry to the Freedom Festival is free.  KTEX-106 will be sending out Eilish and Cowboy Dave in the KTEX Country Cruiser.

The City of Navasota reminds residents that selling or discharging fireworks within city limits is not allowed.
