WASHINGTON EXTENSION EDUCATION ASSOCIATION PRESENTING PROGRAM ON MEDITERRANEAN-STYLE EATING
The Washington Extension Education Association (WEEA) is hosting a free program focused on promoting healthy aging through the Mediterranean-style eating pattern.
“Better Your Days, the Mediterranean Way” will be held on Tuesday, July 8th at the Washington County Expo Event Center. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the program begins at 6 p.m.
The program will feature an educational presentation, a cooking demonstration that attendees can replicate at home, and a hands-on homemade spice blend session. Light refreshments will be included.
Participants will gain knowledge and practical skills to incorporate Mediterranean-style eating habits into their daily lives. The approach has been associated with reduced risk of chronic conditions such as cardiovascular disease, Type 2 diabetes, hypertension, cognitive decline and certain types of cancer.
The program is free and open to all. To register, visit https://washington.agrilife.org/fch.
