BRENHAM PLANNING & ZONING TO CONSIDER ACCESSORY DWELLING UNIT REQUESTS
The Brenham Planning and Zoning Commission will hear two specific use permit requests on Monday for accessory dwelling units (ADUs).
The first request is from Korbin Scott, who is seeking to build a 540-square-foot ADU on a 0.24-acre lot at 1604 Eldon Street.
The second item comes from Lizbeth Andrade and Jorge Mendez Vite, who are wanting to put in a 396-square-foot ADU on a 0.33-acre lot at 1306 Ewing Street.
City staff recommends approval of both requests.
The commission will meet Monday at 5:15 p.m. at Brenham City Hall.

The city planner is obviously a proponent that is allowing high density rental units on family neighborhoods that previously never allowed high transient living quarters. This mentality does allows more traffic in family neighborhoods more street parking. City council really doesn’t care about Brenham neighborhoods to allow this. I hope they get this multi homes next to their home. Blocking streets houses closer together is just a bigger fire hazard too.
