BRENHAM PLANNING & ZONING GIVES CONDITIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ACCESSORY DWELLING UNIT REQUESTS
The Brenham Planning and Zoning Commission on Monday recommended conditional approval of two specific use permit requests from residents looking to build accessory dwelling units (ADUs) on their properties.
The first item came from Korbin Scott, who wishes to construct a 540-square-foot ADU on a 0.24-acre lot at 1604 Eldon Street. The commission recommended approval on the condition that a dedicated off-street parking space of concrete or asphalt be provided.
Next, the commission heard from Lizbeth Andrade and Jorge Mendez Vite, who seek to build a 396-square-foot ADU on a 0.33-acre lot at 1306 Ewing Street. Its recommendation of approval is contingent on putting in two conforming off-street parking spaces for the primary home on the property.
The recommendations will be passed along to the Brenham City Council for a vote at a future meeting.
