INDEPENDENCE PREPPING FOR 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION
The town of Independence has a full slate of activities planned for its Fourth of July celebration next Friday.
A parade gets underway at 5 p.m. in downtown Independence. Guests can bring their lawn chairs to watch the parade. Prize money will go to the top entries.
After the parade, the Risky Liver Band will perform at the schoolhouse.
A display of fireworks will conclude the evening’s festivities at 9 p.m.
Food and drinks will be available, but people can bring coolers. There will also be bounce houses for the kids.
