CALL TO VENTILATE SMOKE FROM HOME ONE OF FOUR RESPONSES THURSDAY FOR BRENHAM FD
The Brenham Fire Department was called out four times on Thursday.
Around 6:30 a.m., firefighters responded to a crash with possible entrapment at FM 1948 and Post Oak Road. There was no entrapment on location, so the department returned to service.
At 11:30 a.m., BFD members went out to a rescue call in the 7300 block of Old Mill Creek Road. However, all Brenham units were cancelled enroute by a Berlin Volunteer Fire Department member who made location first.
Shortly after noon, a fire alarm was reported at QuestSpecialty Corporation, 2001 East Tom Green Street. Firefighters found the alarm system to have a malfunction.
Just past 9 p.m., units were dispatched to a possible structure fire at a home in the 1000 block of Pine Drive. After making location, they found there was burnt food on the stove, which caused the smoke inside the residence. After ventilating the house, the department cleared the scene.
