SHERIFF’S OFFICE ARRESTS SIX ON CHARGES INCLUDING ASSAULT, POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested six people between Wednesday and Sunday.
Shortly before 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Corporal Salinas conducted a traffic stop in the 1500 block of West Main Street for obstructed view through the windshield and a license plate violation. Upon identifying the occupants, the sheriff’s office discovered that one of the passengers had several outstanding warrants. 38-year-old Andrea Shamon Harris of Chappell Hill was transported to the Washington County Jail and charged with Bond Surrender – Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Less Than a Gram, Bond Surrender – Fraudulent Use or Possession of Identifying Information Less Than 5 Items, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Display/Expired Registration, No Driver’s License, Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility, and felony Bail Jumping and Failure to Appear.
A few minutes after 11:15 a.m. Thursday, deputies were dispatched to an assault call in the 4200 block of Sausage Lane, where a victim advised she had been choked. Following investigation, 43-year-old Laura Yaneth Aguilera of Chappell Hill was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail for Assault Causing Bodily Injury.
At 6:30 p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance in the 8600 block of Mulberry Street. While gathering information, deputies observed an individual with an active warrant entering the residence. 32-year-old Gregory Duane Davis of Chappell Hill was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was charged with Bond Surrender – Assault of a Family or Household Member Impeding Breath or Circulation.
Close to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle call in the 11000 block of Old Mill Creek Road. While interviewing the occupants, the sheriff’s office reported detecting an odor of marijuana, and a search of the vehicle resulted in deputies locating marijuana and a THC gummy package. 27-year-old Francisco Castro Jr. of Houston claimed ownership and was taken to the Washington County Jail for Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz. and Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, 4-400 Grams.
At 7:30 a.m. Sunday, deputies conducted a warrant service in the 9500 block of FM 50. 25-year-old Jose Andres Ramirez-Garcia of Brenham was arrested without incident and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was charged with Assault of a Family or Household Member Impeding Breath or Circulation and Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member.
At 7:45 p.m., the sheriff’s office responded to a suspicious vehicle call in the 3800 block of FM 2935. Upon making contact, deputies detected an odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. A search resulted in the discovery of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, with the passenger claiming ownership of the items. 22-year-old Italy Sheccid Rodriguez of Spring was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz. and Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, Less Than a Gram.
