SIX ARRESTED BY BRENHAM PD ON CHARGES INCLUDING DRUG POSSESSION & INTOXICATION, PLUS MULTIPLE WARRANTS

Brenham police arrested six people between Thursday and Saturday.

Approaching 1:45 p.m. Thursday, Officer Danielle Corrado initiated a traffic stop in the area of South Austin Street and West Vulcan Street.  After further investigation, police determined that the driver, 31-year-old Eduardo Martinez of Brenham, had an active warrant out of the Hempstead Police Department for Failure to Identify – False Information.  Martinez was placed into custody for his warrant and transported to the Washington County Jail.

On Saturday, shortly after 8:30 a.m., Officer Garrett Downs was dispatched to the 200 block of Highway 290 East for a reported suspicious person.  Investigation revealed that the individual, identified as 48-year-old Jeremiah Smith of Livingston, had an active felony warrant for DWI 3rd or More out of Harris County.  Smith was apprehended and taken to the Washington County Jail for booking.

At 10:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of South Market Street in reference to a harassment call.  Upon arrival, police say they found that 24-year-old Jacob Hochmeister of Brenham was intoxicated in a public place.  Further investigation revealed that he was allegedly in possession of narcotics.  Hochmeister was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail for Public Intoxication and Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 4-200 Grams.

Just before 2 p.m., officers initiated a wanted person call for service in the 2600 block of Highway 36 South.  They observed two individuals who had active warrants for their arrest out of Washington County.  The suspects were identified as 30-year-old Michael Angelo Gonzales and 58-year-old Aurora Gonzales, both of Brenham.  Michael Gonzales showed to have two Motion to Revoke Probation warrants for Accident Involving Damage to a Vehicle Greater than $200 and Criminal Mischief $750 - $2,500.  Aurora Gonzales showed to have seven active warrants for Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility, No Driver's License, Failure to Yield Right of Way and Expired Operator's License.  Both subjects were placed into custody without incident and transported to the Washington County Jail.

At 7 p.m., Officer Ramon Torres conducted a traffic stop for no license plates in the 500 block of Highway 290 West.  After investigation, police took the driver, 35-year-old Daniel Pinon of Conroe, into custody for Driving While License Invalid, Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Less Than a Gram, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Prohibited Substance/Item in a Correctional Facility.
