TWO ACCIDENTS, FIRE ALARM WEDNESDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.
The Brenham Fire Department responded to three calls on Wednesday.
At 1:45 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to a crash at Highway 290 East and James Nutt Boulevard. They arrived on location and found a single-vehicle accident. No injuries were reported, and the department remained on scene until the roadway was cleared.
At 6 p.m., units were called out to a fire alarm at the Brenham State Supported Living Center, 4001 Highway 36 South. They found that the alarm system was activated by a faulty smoke detector and notified staff of the issue before resetting the alarm back to normal.
At 9:30 p.m., BFD personnel went out to a crash at Highway 290 West and Prairie Lea Street. There, they discovered a single-vehicle accident with no injuries. Firefighters stayed on location until the road was clear.
