BRENHAM POLICE MAKE WEEKEND ARRESTS FOR INTOXICATION MANSLAUGHTER WARRANT, MARIJUANA & CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE POSSESSION
Three people were arrested over the weekend by the Brenham Police Department.
Approaching 12:30 p.m. Friday, officers initiated a traffic stop near the 600 block of South Blue Bell Road. Police say the driver, 17-year-old Davien Sweed of Navasota, was taken into custody for Possession of Marijuana and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon. Sweed was transported to the Washington County Jail.
Just before 11:15 a.m. Saturday, officers served a warrant in the 400 block of Glenn Drive. 56-year-old Eric Truelson of Brenham was taken into custody for an active warrant for Intoxication Manslaughter. Truelson was booked in at the Washington County Jail.
Around 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Officer Heinecke and Corporal Marburger responded to a business in the 1100 block of North Park Street in reference to a welfare concern. The caller advised that there was a pickup truck in the drive-thru that was not moving, and the person inside was passed out. After further investigation, the driver, 27-year-old Cedric Miles of Brenham, was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail. He was booked in for Driving While Intoxicated with an Open Alcohol Container; Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 3, Less Than 28 Grams; and three active warrants, including two for Driving While License Invalid and one out of Harris County for Obstruction.
