BRENHAM POLICE ARREST ONE FOR ASSAULT BY THREAT, ANOTHER FOR ASSAULT ON OFFICER
Two Brenham residents were taken into custody by Brenham police on Tuesday, one for an alleged threat and another on multiple charges including resisting arrest and assaulting an officer.
Shortly after 6:45 p.m., officers responded to the 1800 block of Pecan Circle Drive in reference to a threat that occurred. After further investigation, 41-year-old Kimberly Ann Linfoot was arrested for Assault by Threat/Family Violence and transported to the Washington County Jail.
Around 8:15 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Mulberry Street and West Jefferson Street for a welfare concern. According to police, multiple callers witnessed a male in the middle of the roadway, yelling at traffic. Officers made contact with the subject and, after multiple failed attempts of requesting he get out of the roadway, detained 69-year-old Bobby Raybon for his safety and for obstructing the public roadway. Raybon is alleged to have struck officers as they were trying to detain him. After being treated and cleared at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center, Raybon was transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was booked for two counts of Assault of a Peace Officer, Resisting Arrest, Obstructing a Public Roadway, and a City of Brenham traffic warrant.
