SIX ARRESTS FOR SHERIFF’S OFFICE INCLUDE CHARGES OF DRUG POSSESSION, THREATENING OFFICER
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reported six arrests between Tuesday and Wednesday.
Around 2:15 a.m. Tuesday, Deputy Martinez initiated a traffic stop in the 6800 block of Highway 290 East for a defective headlamp. While conducting a search of the vehicle, various narcotics were located, and the driver was taken into custody. 52-year-old CJ White of Houston was transported to the Washington County Jail and charged with Possession of a Dangerous Drug, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 1-4 Grams.
Just before 10:15 a.m., Corporal Zavala responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 1500 block of Salem Road. Corporal Zavala located the vehicle and made contact with the driver, who reportedly displayed signs of intoxication. 41-year-old Victor Manzano Avalos of Brenham was taken into custody for Public Intoxication, as well as Terroristic Threat Against Peace Officer/Judge. Avalos was transported to the Washington County Jail.
Shortly after 9:45 p.m., Deputy Pena conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Highway 36 North and Lakewood Circle for defective equipment. The sheriff’s office says the driver had a suspended driver’s license. 26-year-old Luna Marie Conwill of College Station was transported to the Washington County Jail and charged with Driving While License Invalid.
A few minutes past 1:45 a.m. Wednesday, Deputy Pena conducted a traffic stop in the 5500 block of Main Street for speeding. The driver, 22-year-old Terin Ray Demarco Ford of Cypress, was found to have active warrants and was taken into custody. Ford was transported to the Washington County Jail and charged with three counts of Display/Expired Registration.
Close to 8:45 a.m., Deputy Brown responded to a suspicious vehicle call at Wiesepape Road and North Meyersville Road. The vehicle was found in the middle of the roadway, still running and unoccupied. Two people were located nearby, and a male subject advised that he had borrowed the vehicle. While conducting an inventory of the vehicle, the sheriff’s office reported finding a small baggie containing cocaine. 28-year-old Luis Felipe Serna-Rivera, address unknown, was booked in at the Washington County Jail for Public Intoxication and Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Less Than a Gram.
Shortly past 3:45 p.m., Deputy Faske responded to the 100 block of East Main for a warrant service. 46-year-old Shawn Patrick O’Brien of Carmine was taken to the Washington County Jail for Order of Commitment – Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz.
