A few minutes after 11:45 a.m., the fire department went out for a crash call in the 1100 block of East Blue Bell Road. Units found an oversize load that had tire issues, and they provided traffic control until the load was off the roadway.
Around 1 p.m., BFD members were called out to a home in the 2200 block of Glenda Boulevard for a burning call. They advised the homeowner of the city ordinance about burning before returning to service.
Close to 6:30 p.m., crews responded to a fire investigation in the 2400 block of Gun and Rod Circle, where they found a fuse on the power line that had blown. They stood by until Bluebonnet Electric made location, returning to the station once the power was restored.
Shortly past 9:30 p.m., units received a report of a dumpster fire in the 300 block of Stone Hill Drive. There, they found a medium-sized dumpster fully involved. The department used handlines and tank water to extinguish the fire. Once it was out, all units cleared the call.
