THREE ASSAULT ARRESTS AMONG SEVEN BOOKINGS FOR SHERIFF’S OFFICE
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reported seven arrests between Thursday and Saturday.
Shortly before 9 a.m. Thursday, Corporal Zavala conducted a traffic stop at Highway 290 West and East Mulberry Street for speeding. Upon contact, the sheriff’s office detected an odor of marijuana and performed a search of the vehicle, resulting in the discovery of a firearm and drug paraphernalia. The driver, 30-year-old Jorge Fierro Perez of Manor, was transported to the Washington County Jail for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Close to 8:15 p.m., Corporal Pizarro responded to a disturbance in the 3700 block of Brown College Lane. According to the sheriff’s office, the victim reported being assaulted by a former boyfriend. After further investigation, 19-year-old Quinterrion Quatez Riley of Washington was taken into custody. He was transported to the Washington County Jail for Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member.
Around 9:30 p.m., Lieutenant Montes responded to a disturbance in the 1800 block of Old Navasota Road. The victim reportedly told the sheriff’s office that the suspect had displayed a weapon and threatened to kill him. Following investigation, 17-year-old Marcus Allen Hill of Brenham was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
A few minutes after 7:45 a.m. Friday, Corporal Salinas initiated a traffic stop at Old Independence Road and Airport Road for failing to signal a turn. The driver, 41-year-old Abigail Lauren Guerrero of Brenham, was found to have an active warrant. Guerrero was taken to the Washington County Jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, 1-4 Grams.
Approaching 3 p.m. Saturday, Deputy Presswood initiated a traffic stop at Highway 36 North and Lakewood Circle for speeding. The driver was found to have an active warrant out of Harris County and was taken into custody. 60-year-old Troy Alan Bussell of Hockley was transported to the Washington County Jail for Driving While Intoxicated 2nd.
Shortly after 8:30 p.m., Deputy Martinez conducted a traffic stop in the 4300 block of Highway 36 South for an equipment violation. Upon identifying all occupants, the sheriff’s office determined that the passenger, 22-year-old Andrew Jose Vasquez of Spring, was in violation of a protective order. He was taken into custody and booked at the Washington County Jail for Violation of a Bond/Protective Order.
Around 9:15 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a disturbance in the 3500 block of Brown College Lane, in which the caller stated she had been assaulted. After interviewing the parties involved, deputies took 48-year-old Jason C. Jones of Washington into custody for Assault of a Pregnant Person. Jones was transported to the Washington County Jail.
