The city issued 20 permits for $1,367,705 during the month of July.

The largest individual permit was for $600,000, issued for the construction of a new residence on Oak Hollow Lane.  Three new homes were permitted in the month, totaling $699,995.  So far this year, 177 new home permits have been issued for $30,510,237.

Another permit of interest was issued to Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative for $60,000 to build a covered kiosk at 1909 South Market Street.

The city’s 20 permits for $1,367,705 last month fall shy of July 2024, when 27 permits were issued for $2,165,844.  They are also well below the 122 permits worth $22,809,485 issued during the month of June.

Propelled by that month of June, though, the city’s permits so far this year come out to 320 for $59,733,874, compared to 189 permits for $26,287,168 through this time a year ago.
