Alpha Delta Nu students must maintain a 3.5 grade-point average both overall and in their nursing courses. Members also must complete a capstone project and demonstrate conduct on campus and in clinical areas reflecting integrity and professionalism.

“These graduates have demonstrated remarkable dedication and perseverance, balancing their careers with the rigorous academic and clinical demands of these transition programs,” said Dr. Karla Ross, Associate Degree Nursing Program Director. “This program has allowed them to expand their ability to provide compassionate, comprehensive patient care, and we are honored to have been part of their journey.”

Blinn’s 60-credit-hour LVN-Transition and Paramedic-to-RN Transition pathways are accelerated programs that allow licensed vocational nurses (LVNs) and paramedics to build upon their extensive medical training and experience to become registered nurses. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the 2024 median salary for an LVN was $62,340 per year and $46,350 per year for a paramedic, while registered nurses earned a median salary of $93,600. The LVN-Transition pathway is offered at the Blinn-Brenham and Texas A&M-RELLIS campuses, while the Paramedic-to-RN Transition option is available at Texas A&M-RELLIS.

Blinn Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) students gain hands-on skills utilizing state-of-the-art simulation laboratories and extensive clinical training, and the program has been recognized as one of the best in the state by NursingProcess.org, RNCareers.org, and RegisterNursing.org.

Students who complete Blinn’s ADN Program and pass the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) have a job placement rate between 97 and 100% and are qualified for a wide array of nursing positions, including pediatric, geriatric, hospice, school, and clinical nursing.
