BRENHAM POLICE MAKE WARRANT ARRESTS FOR AGGRAVATED SEXUAL ASSAULT OF CHILD, DWI
Four people were arrested on Wednesday by Brenham police on warrants, including one for child sex assault.
Around 9:30 a.m., Officer Downs conducted a local check in the 200 block of Highway 290 East. Police say the subject, identified as 39-year-old Wesley Oden of Bryan, had an active warrant for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child out of Gonzales County. Oden was placed into custody and taken to the Washington County Jail for booking.
Close to 12:30 p.m., Officer Downs conducted a traffic stop in the 1200 block of Rink Street. Investigation revealed that the driver was driving while his license was suspended and had two active traffic warrants for Running a Stop Sign and No Driver’s License. 47-year-old Clifford Williams of Brenham was taken into custody for both of his warrants and on charges of Driving While License Invalid Enhanced and Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility.
Approaching 11:15 p.m., Officer Corrado conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of Highway 290 West for an equipment violation. After investigation, police found that the passenger, 42-year-old Anthony Boulds of Hempstead, had an active warrant out of Washington County for Criminal Nonsupport. Boulds was transported to the Washington County Jail.
Just shy of 11:30 p.m., Officer Jackson stopped a vehicle for a moving violation in the 1900 block of South Day Street. The driver, 24-year-old Daija Monique King of Brenham, was determined to have an active warrant out of Austin County for Driving While Intoxicated. King was placed into custody and taken to the Washington County Jail.
