BRENHAM PD MAKES WARRANT ARRESTS FOR ASSAULT, FAILURE TO APPEAR
Brenham police booked two people into jail on Thursday for warrants.

Just before 9 a.m., officers conducted a warrant service in the 600 block of Key Street. Police say their investigation revealed that the subject, identified as 42-year-old Sherman Smith of Brenham, had an active warrant out of Washington County for Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member. Smith was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.

Close to 10:45 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop near the 900 block of Highway 290 West. The driver, 45-year-old Chikere Isikwe of Houston, was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Collin County for Failure to Appear. Isikwe was transported to the Washington County Jail.
