POLICE IN BRENHAM, COLLEGE STATION MAKE NARCOTICS ARRESTS AFTER JOINT INVESTIGATION
Brenham police say a local man’s arrest this weekend on drug charges was one of three made as part of a multi-county narcotics investigation.
The police department shared more details in a release about Sunday’s arrest of 21-year-old Hayden Alexander Torres of Brenham, as well as two other associated arrests on Monday by College Station police.
The Brenham Police Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) initiated its investigation over a year ago, eventually obtaining three felony arrest warrants for Torres. After discovering that Torres was living in College Station, the CRU collaborated with the College Station Police Department’s Narcotics Unit to further the investigation.
Shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday, CRU investigators located Torres operating a vehicle within Brenham city limits. Torres was wanted on multiple felony warrants related to narcotics trafficking in Washington, Brazos and other surrounding counties. After conducting a traffic stop in the 1700 block of Highway 105, police reported finding various narcotics during a probable cause search.
Torres was taken into custody without incident and charged with two counts of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, and the three outstanding warrants for Manufacture/Delivery charges.
On Monday, College Station police obtained and executed a search warrant at Torres’ residence, where they reported finding more narcotics and a firearm. The search led to the arrests of 19-year-old Noelle Albus of Brenham, charged with two counts of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance in a Drug Free Zone and Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz., and 23-year-old Matthew Jacobs of Bryan, charged with Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz.
Brenham police thank the College Station Police Department for its assistance with the case, which remains under investigation.
