BLINN COLLEGE REVEALS LINEUP FOR 10TH ANNIVERSARY PERFORMING ARTS SEASON

  

The Blinn College District is proud to announce the 2025-26 Performing Arts Series, a dynamic collection of live performances that promises something for every musical taste and style.

This will mark the 10th anniversary of the Performing Arts Series, which launched in 2015. This year’s slate features four exciting performances:

Thursday, October 9, 2025 – 7 p.m.

Named “Best New Act in America” by America’s Got Talent, iLuminate combines cutting-edge technology with electrifying choreography in a mind-blowing, multi-sensory experience. Dancers in LED-lit suits create dazzling visuals synchronized to energetic music from multiple genres. This 60-minute show has no intermission and delivers non-stop energy and excitement.

Thursday, November 20, 2025 – 7 p.m.

Celebrating over 50 years of Western swing, Texas roots music legends Asleep at the Wheel bring their Riding High in Texas Tour to the Brenham stage. With 10 Grammy Awards and a rich history rooted in the Austin music scene, the band continues to keep traditional music alive with fresh talent and timeless tunes.

  • “I Am… He Said” – A Celebration of the Music of Neil Diamond

Thursday, January 22, 2026 – 7 p.m.

The Killer Vees—Matt, Jeff, and Tommy Vee—deliver an electric, heartfelt tribute to Neil Diamond’s iconic catalog, including hits like “Sweet Caroline” and “Cracklin’ Rosie.” This high-energy performance also features local talent, including members of the Blinn College Choir and faculty musicians, making it a true community celebration of one of America’s most beloved singer-songwriters.

Sunday, March 22, 2026 – 4 p.m.

International vocalist Alfreda Gerald leads a powerhouse tribute to legendary female artists such as Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Whitney Houston, and more. From opera halls to pop arenas, Gerald has performed with icons like Elton John and Celine Dion—and now brings her unmatched range and charisma to the Blinn stage in this soul-stirring finale to the season.

“The Performing Arts Series brings world-class talent and entertainment to our community, enriching lives and inspiring audiences of all ages,” said Debbi Vavra, Dean of Arts, Kinesiology, and Agriculture. “This year’s lineup is especially dynamic, and we look forward to welcoming guests to visit our campus and experience these incredible performances.”

All four shows will take place at the Dr. W.W. O’Donnell Performing Arts Center, located at 600 Blinn Boulevard on the Blinn College-Brenham Campus. Season tickets are $140 and include all four shows. For $40, season ticket patrons also can purchase tickets to special pre-show receptions taking place before each performance.

Individual show tickets are $40, and pre-show reception tickets are $15 apiece.

Season ticket sales open to everyone on Monday, Aug. 25, and individual show tickets open Sept. 8. Special pre-show receptions are available for $15 apiece and are available up to five days before each performance.
