BRENHAM MAN CHARGED WITH DWI AFTER ACCIDENT
A Brenham man faces a DWI charge after an accident Wednesday night.
Brenham police report that at around 10:45 p.m., Sergeant Crystal Buckner was dispatched to the 300 block of West Main Street in reference to a crash.
According to police, deputies from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office observed a vehicle that crashed near the railroad tracks and knocked down a street sign. As they approached the vehicle, they observed two subjects and an open container inside the vehicle.
After further investigation, Sergeant Buckner elected to conduct standardized field sobriety tests.
The driver, 30-year-old Carlos Alberto Alfredo Reveles, was placed into custody and transported to the hospital for medical clearance, due to being in a crash. Once medically cleared, Reveles was taken to the Washington County Jail, where he was booked in for Driving While Intoxicated with an Open Alcohol Container.
