BRENHAM PD ARRESTS ONE, SERVES WARRANTS ON ANOTHER FOR CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE CHARGES
Brenham police arrested an Austin man on Thursday on multiple charges and served warrants on a Brenham man currently in jail.
Around 8:45 a.m., Sergeant Jimmy Ha initiated a traffic stop near the 800 block of Highway 290 East. Police say their investigation revealed that the driver, 31-year-old Durante Dyson-Henry of Austin, was in possession of narcotics and did not have a valid license. He was taken into custody for Driving While License Invalid Enhanced, Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz. and Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, Greater than or Equal to 400 Grams.
A few minutes after 4:45 p.m., Officer Ronnie Jackson responded to the Washington County Jail for a warrant service. 21-year-old Hayden Alexander Torres of Brenham, who was already booked at the jail, was served his active warrants out of Brazos County for Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 4-200 Grams and Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2/2A, 4-400 Grams.
