CUBETTES GO 2-1 ON FIRST DAY OF LEGENDS INVITATIONAL

The Brenham Cubette Volleyball Team went 2-1 on the first day of the Legends Invitational in Bryan on Thursday.

In the opening match, the Cubettes lost to Shadow Creek in two straight sets 25-16, and 25-21. Antyiahna Lang finished with six kills. Hannah Bush and Logan Hayslip led the defense with six digs each. Claire Huff dished out nine assists.

Brenham then went on to beat McMullen County in two straight sets, 25-18 and 25-21. Lang had seven kills. Brinley Benson dished out seven assists. Hayslip led the defense with ten digs, and she also had a big match serving as she racked up six aces.

The Cubettes finished out the day by sweeping Cy Creek 25-12 and 26-24. Lang had ten kills. Benson finished with 14 assists and seven aces. Hayslip chipped in with 11 digs.

Brenham is now 13-7 on the season.

The Legends Invitational continues thru Saturday.
