SHERIFF’S OFFICE MAKES ARRESTS FOR AGGRAVATED ASSAULT WARRANT, RACING

Three people were arrested on Saturday by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, including one on an aggravated assault warrant and two others for charges of racing and reckless driving.

A few minutes after 7:15 a.m., deputies responded to the 10100 block of Highway 105 for a warrant service.  32-year-old Carolyn Howard of Brenham was arrested without incident and transported to the Washington County Jail, where she was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

Around 3:15 p.m., Sergeant Adam Zavala reported observing two vehicles racing in the 1500 block of Highway 36 North.  Traffic stops were conducted on both vehicles, and 19-year-old Jacob Austin Ladewig of Brenham and 38-year-old Christopher Teddy Hocog of Cypress were taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.  Both were charged with Reckless Driving and Racing on a Highway.
