KIDNAPPING SUSPECT AND VICTIM LOCATED IN BURLESON COUNTY
The suspect in a late night kidnapping that happened in Kerrville was arrested this (Tuesday) morning in Somerville.
Around 8:30am, the Texas Rangers, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Burleson County Sheriff’s Office took 35-year-old Anthony Harwell into custody.
Harwell was arrested at a residence on FM 1361 in Somerville on an Aggravated Kidnapping warrant out of Kerr County. He was transported to the Burleson County Jail in Caldwell and booked in without incident.
The Burleson County Sheriff’s Office said the victim was recovered unharmed.
According to the Kerr County Lead, the kidnapping occurred on Monday night at 10:45pm.
A witness told police that they had went with the victim to meet Harwell, and retrieve some personal property.
Instead, Harwell allegedly shoved the victim into his vehicle and drove away.
The Burleson County Sheriff’s Office issued a statement thanking the Texas Rangers and DPS for "their unwavering commitment to public safety, and their swift action to help prevent any further unfortunate outcomes."
