PEARLAND MAN CHARGED WITH CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE POSSESSION

A Pearland man faces a controlled substance charge after his arrest by Brenham police on Monday.
Just past 6:45 p.m., Officer Rosa Salinas conducted a traffic stop at the 900 block of Highway 290 West for no front license plate.
After police conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle, the driver, identified as 18-year-old Jayshun Ahmad Albert, was taken into custody. Albert was placed under arrest for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, Less Than a Gram.
